True Blood Season 5 Episode 12 Last week on "True Blood": Russell stopped playing the lapdog and gave in to his inborn savagery; Sookie discovered her life had been bargained away centuries before she was born; and Eric pretended to have a spiritual awakening while Bill seemed to struggle with his convictions. And Bill still seems to be struggling, even though a bloody, naked Lilith seems to be stalking him, begging him to drink all of her blood and telling him that he's the chosen one. It's hard to tell whether she's for real or not. She seems to appear and then disappear, but always leaving traces of blood behind. Plus, she also appeared to Kibwe, who made the unfortunate mistake of revealing to Bill that he, Kibwe, was the chosen one, which left Bill no option but to tear his head off. Of course. At the end of the episode, we also see Lilith tell Salome she's the chosen one. I'm looking forward to that showdown.

Nora, meanwhile, suddenly realizes that Lilith is completely bogus and shares the good news with Eric. With her vagina. Yes, big bro and little sis have a horizontal reunion and decide they've got to escape. True Blood Season 5 Episode 12 Their chance comes when Gen. Cavanaugh shows up. He's the bigwig who's been working with Roman on mainstreaming, but he's been concerned that Roman hasn't been returning any of his phone calls. The general tells the chancellors that he knows that vampires bombed the Tru Blood factories, and warned them that there's a lot of talk at high levels about eradicating vampires once and for all.

The chancellors finally 'fess up that they've dispatched Roman, and they've embraced the sanguinista philosophy. The general says he has video of Russell and Steve eviscerating an entire frat house, and says the video will be released if anything happens to him. True Blood Season 5 Episode 12 "We own the day," he tells them, and the government has developed special weapons to deal with the vampire threat. Just as he's walking off in triumph, Eric breaks his neck.

It seems it was part of a hastily-arranged plan for Eric and Nora to get the heck out of subterranean Dodge. Eric says he'll glamour anyone who knows about the video, while Nora says she needs to talk to the general's chief of staff. They both start to head out, but Bill, a little suspicious, tells them to take some security with them. Eric and Nora make quick work out of their protectors, and hit the road, er, skies. True Blood Season 5 Episode 12 Cool!

Jessica, privy to Russell's plans to harvest fairies, wants to return to Bon Temp to protect Jason, but Bill won't let her go, even when she says that Russell is likely to go after Sookie. "They are food and nothing more," Bill declares. Jessica tries to game him, saying she'll make Jason a vampire, which is what Lilith says is the greatest gift. Bill sees right through her, but instead of keeping her on lockdown, he tells her he's going to send her to Bon Temps with some of his goons to make sure she makes good on her promise.

Of course, she can't. Jessica tries to convey her plan True Blood Season 5 Episode 12 to Jason but is forced to start chomping on him. But just as the goons start to bury them for the night, Jason pulls out his gun and shoots them into goo. Jessica tells Jason that Russell and Steve are on the loose and goes into hiding with Pam, but Roslyn ferrets her out (more on that later), and whens Jessica returns to the Authority headquarters, Bill is furious. He smacks her across the room and roars that he is the chosen one.

Sookie is shaken by the revelation that one of her ancestors promised to her the vampire Warlow, and she asks to speak to one of the fairy elders about the arrangement. The other fairies warn her that this particular elder is a little nuts True Blood Season 5 Episode 12 from living in so many bodies. I'm going to date myself here, but the Elder is Coco Hernandez! From "Fame," the television version. From, yes, the early 1980s. She is indeed wonderfully loopy, interrupting her own personal Sonya Tayeh routine to question Sookie's musical tastes. Anyway, she tells Sookie that there are dark times coming, and that Sookie "needs to hold on to her light." She's about to tell her something crucial about Warlow when Jason shows up with the news that Russell wants to harvest fairies, starting with Sookie.

Sookie and Jason try to convince the rest of the fairies to fight Russell, but they're terrified. Coco agrees with Sookie and Jason, so Jason True Blood Season 5 Episode 12 heads out to Sookie's house as bait. Russell and Steve show up and handily glamour him into taking them to the enchanted fairy field, where they can smell the fairies, but they can't see them, The fairies, including Sookie, watch Russell and Steve nervously from the opening of their tent.

Finally, Coco decides to take on Russell herself. She uses her supercharged atomic fairy hands to send Steve flying clear across the field, but when she turns her hands on Russell, he shoves Jason into her path, so he goes flying instead. And Russell proves to be too fast for Coco, sinking his fangs into her and draining her dry in a matter of seconds. With the fairy blood in him, he can now see the rest of the True Blood Season 5 Episode 12 fairies cowering in the entrance to their tent. "Why thank you so much," he drawls. "I'd love to come to dinner."

• Everything seems swell with Sheriff Andy and Holly. He even manages to convince her two obnoxious sons that he'll always look out to for their mother. And just as he's getting some relationship advice from footloose-and-ifrit-free Terry and Arlene (trust, honestly, loyalty, yadda, yadda, yadda), a very pregnant Maurella shows up and spills the beans about their baby and tells Andy she expects him to protect her from the vamps. Andy takes her aside and tells her that a) True Blood Season 5 Episode 12 he doesn't believe he knocked her up, since they only had sex last week, and b) he prefers to mate with his own species. Maurella tells him this means war.

• Tara is cleaning up after giving the nasty new sheriff Elijah the true death, but Pam is worried about the Authority coming after them. And soon enough, Rosyln shows up looking for Elijah, who just happens to be one of her 200-odd vampire children. But Pam takes the blame for killing him, and Roslyn and her goons cart her off to headquarters. (And while Pam was briefly hiding Jessica, Jessica wondered whether True Blood Season 5 Episode 12 Tara, like, likes Pam. I didn't see that one coming.)

• Sam and Luna are still sniffing around the Authority headquarters disguised as mice. They manage to track Emma down to one of the cell blocks, where the Authority is apparently storehousing comely young humans. Sam and Luna shift into human form again (and of course they're naked) just as a couple of stormtroopers show up to raid the pantry for Bill. They think Sam and Luna managed to escape and start to lock them up again, but Sam offers to go to Bill.

• Alcide is chopping wood shirtless. Oh, and we find out his father Jackson, the former packmaster, was tossed from the pack for stealing money, presumably for gambling. Alcide's father doesn't seem concerned when an old friend comes by to warn them of packs of baby vamps terrorizing the area, even when three show up at his neighbor's trailer that night looking for a snack. Alcide plays hero and kills one, but he's about to be taken out by the other two vamps when Jackson comes to his rescue with a compound bow. True Blood Season 5 Finale Handy!
